- Material :
- Pottery
- Size :
- 15 cm. wide, 22 cm. high
- Era age :
- Lanna in the 20th - 21st Buddhist century
- Characteristic :
- The face, eyebrows, nostrils and mouth reflect the influence of the Sukhothai art since in that period, Sukhothai and Lanna had a strong relation especially related to religious aspects as indicated by evidence that Phra Sumana from Sukhothai propagate Lankavamsa Buddhism in 1369. As a result, the Sukhothai art style may have influenced Lanna’s artistic creation. However, only the face of this sculpture is left, which can be inferred that in that age, Buddha images were separately molded and assembled later.
