- The statue was made from baked clay with a protruding head, square face and wide nose. The Buddha head has thick hairline and the hair has prominent ringlet curls. The brows are curved and connected to parallel lines underneath. The eyes are protruding with edgy lines and glancing downward. It also has wide flat nose and thick lips with beard above the mouth which engraved powerful look. The neck is segmented with aesthetically horizontal linear. This kind of Buddha head was made using mold method with various sizes for decorating arches of pagoda. This statue is valued as national antique because it is one of a few Buddha head that can reflect Hariphunchai period’s identity with fully perfect face.
