- Krabue or Kwai is raised for farming mostly in the Asian countries because it can help farmers plough the field. Sometimes it can be a carrier taking people to their farms, and some people kill buffaloes for meat. That is why buffaloes benefit people a lot. However, buffaloes are used for farm work less nowadays. A buffalo has four legs and hooves, and it is about the same size as a cow. The buffalo is considered full-grown when it is 5 - 8 years old. The male can approximately range from 520 to 560 kilograms in weight, while the female can approximately range from 360 to 440 kilograms. Therefore, the male is a little bigger than the female. Their skin tone can range from grey to black (Some of them has pale pink skin which is call Kwai-puak). Their horns are unique, and their tips are curved like the crescent moon. Moreover, buffaloes are mammals, and their calves drink milk from their mother until they are about 1.5 years of age. They can work when they are about 2.5 to 3 years old and can fully work when they are 6 to 9 years old. Each of them can still work until they are about to reach 20 years of age, and their average age is normally 25.
