The permanent exhibition of Suphanburi National Museum integrates the presentation of antiquities and arts with exhibition materials such as models and audiovisual equipment to allow visitors to acquire new knowledge and entertain themselves simultaneously. The topics for the exhibition are divided into the following sections.

First Floor

Muang Suphan Room

| This room exhibits important historical evidences concerning to Suphanburi in the past such as the messages written in different inscriptions mentioning the name Suphanburi including the Stone Inscription 1 from the reign of King Ram Khamhaeng the Great, Lan Thong inscription from Ayutthaya period found in Song Khob Temple, Chai Nat Province, and Chinnakala Mali Pakorn book, etc. |
The development of Suphanburi is also presented from pre-historical period throughout historical periods including Dhavaravati, Lopburi, Ayutthaya, and Rattanakosin respectively. The displays include antiquities found at different important archaeology resources and archaeological sites in Suphanburi.

Muang Yutthahatthi “Elephant War” Room

This room displays important historical incidents of Suphanburi such as the Yutthahatthi Elephant War between King Naresuan the Great and Mingyi Swa (heir apparent of Burma) in the year 1592 (2135 B.E.) at Nong Sarai Sub-district, currently a part of Don Chedi District locating the monument of King Naresuan the Great and battle Yutthahatthi Chedi. The display is presented through audio-visual equipment system, model, and narration sign.

Khon Suphan Room

The room presents stories and evidences of the people living in Suphanburi starting from pre-historical period until nowadays. These groups of people are from different race, tradition, culture, belief, and identity such as local Thai, Chinese-Thai, Lawa-Thai, Ka-Thai or Lao Khrang, etc. The displays are presented through model with house scenario and narration with audio-visual equipment system.

Suphanburi Sasanasilp “Religious Art” Room

This room presents archaeological evidences and history such as the ancient artifacts found in important archeological sites in Suphanburi such as Buddha image, Phra Pim (Buddha mold), and elaboration artworks, particularly the highly famous Buddha mold or amulet such as Phra Pim Tham Sue, Phra Pim Lopburi, Phra Pim Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat, Phra Pim Wat Phra Rub, Phra Pim Wat Ban Krang, Phra Pim Wat Chumnum Song, etc.

Ban Bang Poon Kiln Site Room

This room displays the evidences of resources of producing Ban Bang Poon earthenware at alongside both banks of Tha Chin River or Suphanburi River within Pihan Daeng Sub-district, Pho Phraya Sub-district, and Sanam Chai Sub-district in Muang District, Suphanburi Province. These earthenware of approximate 15th – 18th Buddhist century represent a significant identity of decorating pottery with patterns. The room also displays the model of kiln with antiquities.

Muang Suphan Wannakam “Literature” Room

This room presents the stories of two important literatures concerning to Suphanburi namely Khun Chang Khun Phaen “Sepha” epic poem which had been praised by Royal Society of Literature as the excellent Sepha poem in the reign of King Rama VI. The other one is Nirat Suphan Poem. Both poems, written by Sunthon Phu the great poets of Rattanakosan, represent the way of life and tradition of Suphanburi people in the past. The displays are presented through audio-visual equipment system.

This room presents the story and background of local songs by using model and audio-visual equipment supporting the scenario of playing or singing local songs which are usually plays in different festivals such as E-Saew Song and Phleng Rue (boat song). The lyric of these songs usually include the stories way of life of agriculturist.

Folk Song

This room presents the story and background of folk songs by using an audio-visual equipment: jukebox, providing the songs of famous singers born in Suphanburi which consist of Kan Kaewsuphan, Surapon Sombatcharoen, Waipot Petsuphan, Sayan Sanya, Sornpet Sornsuphan, and Phumphuang Duangchan.
