- Terracotta lamp found from the archaeological excavations at Trai Trueng ancient city in 1984. Rather rough texture vessels, forming by hands, Form of lamp has 2 parts include as body part look like bowl and other part is spout, at the end of spout like little bowl to put oil for frame to light. These terracotta lamps were found along the ancient Dvaravati in the river basin as ancient city of Phra Phathon in Nakorn Prathom province, ancient city of Koo Bua, Rachburi province, archaeological resources Ban Tha Khae Lopburi, ancient city of Ban Koo Muang, Indhara Buri district, Singhburi province, Muang Bon ( Kok Mai Den) Payuhakeeree district, Nakorn Sawan province. Assumed that inspired the creation of the Roman bronze lamp patterns found by the Archaeological Pong Terg, Tha Maka district, Kanchanaburi province. Also in the south of India in the region of Andhra found lamps in the same manner. The lamps found from archaeological sites in Chao Phraya River as mentioned above probably among the Indian traders had been brought into use as evidence of contacts between the people who live in communities that have a port Dvarawati with the Indians, a group of people from the overseas territories. However, plenty of pottery discovered from Trai Trueng ancient city still is not evidence that represents a direct contact with the Indians. It seems to be contacted through community Chao Phraya by reflecting the importance of the land in the lower river basin in a community located on the ancient transport route and a major trading hub since before Sukhothai period.
