- Characteristic :
- Tall and large octagonal jar with narrow elevated edge, short neck, sloping shoulder, bloated body and tapering bottom. It was painted with indigo and glazed. There is a lid in a shape of blossoming lotus painted with lotus flower patterns. There are four-segment flower patterns woven into a grid on the side. The edge was painted with Khankot pattern, and the edge of the shoulder was painted with peony and Khankot patterns. The body was painted with Yu-I glass niches embedded with flora patterns such as lotus, peony, etc. The base was painted with lotus patterns. This jar was made from the Jing De Jen kiln in Jiangxi Province. Chinese porcelain in Yuan Dynasty was obtained for a diplomatic purpose because it was considered as a gift rather than a product. Therefore, many pieces of Yuan Dynasty porcelain were found at significant archeological sites such as Vieng Ta Kan in Chiang Mai Province, Haripunchai Relic Temple in Lamphum Province, the pagoda at Phra Pai Luang Temple in Sukhothai Province and the dungeon at Mahathat Temple in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province.
